do you ever wonder why people like you

like you literally think you’re the worst thing in existence but then someone else thinks you’re great and wonderful and everything you think you’re not

and more often than not, that other person thinks the same way you do

why do we find such perfection and good in others, yet not ourselves

I don’t think I’m the worst thing in existence, but I do sometimes wonder why people like me.  Not in a “how could anybody possibly like me?” kind of way, but a more academic, “I wonder what conglomeration of traits I possess that the other person found appealing enough to want to keep in their life?”

This is probably because I sometimes think that I’m boring.  But, then again, I’m around myself all the time and I hardly ever surprise myself anymore, so it’s only natural that I’d find me boring.

Even the most interesting person can be boring sometimes. I think it’s more about the choices we make that make us who we are. For example, everyone can be nice, but not everyone chooses to be.
